A Spiritual look at Facebook Libra

Facebook recently announced Libra, their own cryptocurrency that they are planning to launch soon.

The reception has been rather frosty, even in the mainstream media with co-founder of Facebook Chris Hughes, suggesting that it could shift too much power into the hands of a few corporations and away from the central banks of sovereign nations.

When I read about Facebook Libra, the first thing that caught my eye was the logo they have chosen - the three squiggly lines. Something in my brain clicked that I'd seen it before somewhere and that it had occult significance.
A little research revealed that the seemingly harmless 3 squiggly lines are a very ancient and powerful symbol of the ancient Babylonian pagan trinity Nimrod, Semiramis and Tammuz.

Sources suggest that this symbol is also one favoured by proponents of the New World Order, and there is speculation that this is the real origin of the modern Holy Trinity in Christian religion too.

The powerful occult number 666 may also be written SSS - three squiggly lines, either upright or horizontally.

So Facebook's new cryptocurrency is nothing to be worried about then...purely a coincidence with the logo, I'm sure.

What's in a Name?

The second thing that I wanted to consider further was the name Libra.

Libra is my sun sign, so I was a little irked at the use of the name to be frank. It's the sign of justice, balance and peace. Furthermore it's a word that evokes images of freedom and liberty which I imagine is the marketing message the people behind Libra want us to associate with the cryptocurrency. We are however being warned by many voices right now that the exact opposite may be the truth about the nature of Facebook Libra.

Oftentimes words are not what they first seem, and they can have a deeper occult meaning that isn't always apparent at first blush.  This can often reveal a very different energy and purpose of the word being used that would go unnoticed by the average man in the street, but speaks volumes to anyone with any knowledge of the occult and magicks, or legalese.

A little further digging brought to my attention that the Libra was the Roman word for pound or balance. It was used as the original name for the predecessor of our modern currency here in the UK, hence why the pound has the letter "L" with a strike through or "£" as its symbol.
At one time the Pound sterling was the strongest currency in the world, largely due to the British Empire which at its height included a quarter of the world's population and almost a quarter of its lands too.

I feel that Facebook want to introduce Libra to follow in energetic footsteps of the original Libra or Pound, and that the energy behind it is one of control and dominance.

Libra is also the name of the the Magistrate Court Case management software system used by the UK's Ministry of Justice. Again, not the best energy to be associated with - crime and punishment.

Going back to astrology, it's also worth noting that much as Libra natives can be charming, appealing and diplomatic on the surface, they also have a tendency to be superficial, and can also be highly manipulative and selfish so the name unavoidably carries that energy too.

I'm not happy about the energy of the Facebook Libra; it really felt dark and unpleasant to me as an intuitive, even before I did more research into the name and logo's meanings. I'll be watching very carefully to see how things transpire with Facebook Libra, and if it even gets off the ground - which it may not.

Knowing what we know about Facebook already, I think we should also be highly skeptical of the true motivation and goals of those who would wish to foist it upon us.

The good thing to remember here, is that energetically we are moving into a more positive age, so those who wish to control, repress or swindle others will find themselves with less and less influence and power as time goes on.

We must always remember that there is nothing to fear, as long as we pay attention and do not let others steamroller us unquestioningly. We are sovereign spiritual beings, not pawns on a chess board.
